"I can’t thank Valluga Racing enough for making this happen" - Neil MaclennanA brand new line-up for the 2022 GT Cup season is now revealed with two talented drivers at the wheel of our Porsche GT4 Clubsport, Neil Maclennan and Cameron Fenton. Neil started his motor racing career through karting at aged eight, working his way up to becoming the 2020 National FF1600 Champion and he has certainly got the pace to impress this year. Cameron his team mate starting racing back in 2015 has also an array of motor racing experience under his belt, including Ginetta Junior Ireland coming runner up in 2017 and runner up in the 2018 Irish Supercar Championship by just one point. We are looking forward to the 2022 season with both drivers, we spoke to Neil and Cameron on how they have found their time with Valluga so far and about the upcoming season ahead Neil said, "I'm delighted with my first day testing the Porsche Cayman GT4 at Donington Park yesterday. I can’t thank Valluga Racing enough for making this happen, and supplying me with an excellent car for the test day. I’m really looking forward to getting started and working with the team and also my team mate Cameron Fenton. We both had a really good run in the car yesterday and made a few changes to the car throughout the day. I look forward to our debut race meeting where we are back at Donington park for the first round of the championship." Cameron added, "I am really excited to be competing in the GT Cup Championship with Valluga Racing this season. Pre season testing really showed how strong we are as a team and between myself and Neil, we should be strong championship contenders." We also spoke to Benji Hetherington Team Principle who said, "Very pleased to welcome both Neil and Cameron to Valluga.
Both are hungry racers and looking to make that next step in their racing journeys and I am very excited to see how this season unfolds. Both are new to GT racing and so there are lots of lessons to learn. I know that the environment we cultivate at Valluga for all our drivers coupled with the personnel we will surround them with will ensure they both get up to speed quickly. GT Cup represents the perfect series for this program, it is a professionally run format visiting all of the UK's top circuits. Not only that but also a supremely competitive grid. The pro aspect of GTH particularly last season was a 'who's who' of top-line professionals and so this will be a great test for both Neil and Cameron, one I am sure they will rise to." We can't wait to see these guys out at Donington Park April 9-10th for the first round of the GT Cup season, see you there.
