It was off to North Yorkshire for rounds 9 and 10 of the Porsche Carrera Cup Championship marking the start of the second part of the 2021 season.
Fridays free practice saw dry and sunny conditions for the two sessions to follow that day.
The first session was testing for Lewis finishing P6 with some changes to be put in place for the afternoon session.
The afternoon session was close, competitive and Lewis finished P8 for the last session of the day.
It was Saturday and later on it was time for qualifying. The afternoon session was just as competitive leaving Lewis determined to improve his P8 position from Friday...
which he went on to do qualifying P6 for the upcoming race the following day.
Race 1 was underway with an interruption early on due to a safety car being deployed and left Lewis gaining one position to P5.
Later that day it was time for race 2 with Lewis starting pole position giving us a great lead going into the race.
The race was action packed with DNF's from multiple drivers throughout the race.
Lewis dropped down into 3rd position with a tough fight at the front throughout.
Lewis continued to battle it out with the front runners until the end and with another driver receiving a 5 second penalty put Lewis on the podium 3rd gaining himself some valuable championship points.
